Ariel & George Carl House wedding in the garden
For Ariel and George their spring time Carl House wedding ceremony was as close to perfection as you get. They chose the Carl House because they wanted an outdoor garden wedding ceremony and the homely charm of an old southern mansion. Chirping birds, a cloudless blue sky and flowers in full bloom greeted the couple’s family and friends. The nervous young Albany State University alums prepared feverishly for the start of their wedding ceremony.
Stunning bride at Carl House wedding
The bride looked stunning as she was escorted into the garden to her waiting groom. She wore a Galina Signature tulle-over-lace trumpet gown with plunging V-neckline and cap sleeves. The heart shaped cutout in the back of the dress was absolutely breathtaking. This bride looked gorgeous from any angle. In describing how he felt seeing her for the first time on their wedding day, he said. “I was emotional, anxious, and excited all in one. I thought she was absolutely stunning and the smooth flowing dress fit her so well.”
After the ceremony in the garden, ringed with beautiful flowering azaleas, the guests’ cocktail hour fare included chicken and waffles. The band played jazz and R & B. The couple descended on one side of the twin-curved staircases and descended into the ballroom as their family and friends acknowledged them with cheers and applause.
Romantic First Dance
Luther Vandross song “Here and now” was chosen for the newly married couple’s first dance. Ariel and George got lost in each others embrace on the dance floor and seemed to shut out the world for it’s duration. A week’s vacation in Tulum, Mexico was not long enough for the couple. They enjoyed some time off after a year of planning their dream Carl House wedding.
As a wedding photographer, it was my delight to be their chosen professional to photograph their engagement and chronicle the events of their wedding day. Here are some of their favorite photographs. We hope you enjoy them as much as they do.
